If the Vehicle Appraisal Manager Approval Role (
VAMA) is enabled it will be possible for Managers to mark Appraisals as Approved. Any user ticked as a manager in the VAMA role will be able to mark Appraisal Forms as approved. Adding Appraisals to a Write Up form is also limited to Approved Appraisals only.
With the VAMA role enabled, when a new Appraisal Form is created the VAMA managers will receive an email notification (pictured below) as well as an in-app notification. Clicking on the notification will open the Appraisal Form ready for your managers approval.
To find your Appraisals you can view these via the Appraisals screen. By default this screen defaults to show users 'Pending Trade Ins' that are yet to be approved. You can filter to 'Approved Trade Ins' using this drop down. The Appraisals screen shows any Appraisals that the user has the rights to see - either via the
VAMA or
Manage Leads roles.
You can also search the Dashboard using the 'Form' drop down filter as pictured below.
If you already have an existing Appraisal on your lead you can view this within the 'Appraisals' section. The number of Appraisals on the lead will be shown in brackets next to the section heading (Shown as 'Appraisals (2)' in the screenshot below).
Once you have found the Appraisal Form you wish to approve click on the record to open it. If the VAMA role is enabled in your account but you are not set up as the VAMA Manager you will be able to see the Approval fields, but will not be able to mark the Appraisal as completed. However if you are the VAMA Manager you can mark the Appraisal as 'Approved'. There are two ways to achieve this;
1. Tick the 'Manager Approval' check box in the 'Valuation' section and click SAVE
2. Click on the 'MORE' option in the grey action menu and select the 'Approve Appraisal' option (shown as a tick icon)
Once you click either of these options you will see a message "Confirm Action. Are you sure you want to approve this Appraisal?". When the Manager confirms this it will populate the 'Approved By' field and trigger an email and in-app notification back to the user who created the Appraisal Form.
Once approved the Appraisal Form creator will not be able to edit any information on the Appraisal Form.
