How To Send An Email To Your Wholesalers
You can email your Wholesalers via the 'Communication' option in the grey action menu. The 'Email Wholesaler' option will email the raw data to any email address you select via whatever email client you have set up. The data sent will include links to the Appraisal images, but will omit any customer, valuation or wholesale quote information.
When sending a email to a Wholesaler if you do not have a Wholesaler Quote Template set up in Settings>Company Settings>My Company then you will send the email via your devices email client - outside of AutoPlayAuto.com which will not allow you to send emails to wholesalers or capture wholesaler replies.
There is a default template available labelled 'Default Wholesale Quote Request' which is generic - but you can create your own email template with branding if you prefer.
How To Send An SMS To Your Wholesalers
You can also send an SMS to your wholesalers via the 'Communication' option in the grey action menu.
If you do not have an SMS Gateway set up with AutoPlay you will be able to send an SMS if you are using a device that is capable of sending SMS, but this messages will not be saved on the appraisal. If you are not on a SMS compatible device you will not see the 'Send SMS' option at all.
If you have an SMS Gateway set up with AutoPlay. These SMS messages will be tracked and shown within the 'Communications' section in your Appraisal Form.
To send an SMS enter the mobile number you want to send to, and edit the message as appropriate. By default the message will populate with "<Company Name> has sent you a 2018 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross 1.5p TC VRX 2WD (LUQ505). Submit a quote via – <URL>", but can be edited as you see fit. The 'Message' field will display a character count up to 160. If you exceed the character limit your SMS will send, but you will be charged for multiple SMS messages.
If you 'SAVE' but don't send your message will be saved as a draft in the 'Communications' section.
Capture Wholesaler Quotes Via Web Page (SPW-2404)
When sending Wholesaler Quotes via SMS in the past we have always captured the wholesaler's reply via their entry of an $ value in the body of the SMS. Whilst an effective way of capturing the wholesalers reply if the wholesaler was sent multiple replies they were faced with no way to specify which trade in they were quoting on - resulting in the chance of an incorrect $ value being assigned to a Appraisal Form.
In 20.7.1 it is now possible to complete the wholesale quote via a web page. The web page contains all of the information about the vehicle excluding any reconditioning costs, customer information or dealership valuations. The wholesaler can enter a $ amount, as well as any valuation notes they wish to append (the notes will be added to a new text field below each quote).
The wholesaler can still submit a wholesale quote via the SMS, but the web page not only means they can view more information about the Appraisal, but it also increases the accuracy of any wholesale quote they submit.
The SMS that is generated when sending a SMS Wholesale request has been updated to provide the unique link and instructions to the wholesaler
