Using Splat Graphic Functionality To Take Photos And Add Reconditioning Costs To Your Appraisal

In 19.4 we've added the functionality to use a traditional "splat" graphic on your Appraisal Form.  This comes as standard on all versions of the Appraisal Form but is not compulsory - if you do not wish to use the functionality you can continue to load your appraisals as per normal via images and reconditioning costs.

To access the splat graphic click on the 'Reconditioning Images' section within the 'Add/Edit Images' accordion. Here you will see a splat graph (currently we can only display a picture of a generic car.  In future releases we may look to display a different graphic for Trucks, Motorhomes, Bikes etc).  If you are having trouble viewing the splat graph you can zoom in and out as required.

To record damage against a vehicle you can click/tap on the area of the car with the damage.  This will mark-up the splat graph with a red 'X', and will automatically open the 'Reconditioning Item' popup.

On the 'Reconditioning Item' popup you can add a Description, Condition, and $ Value, as well as itemising each specific reconditioning item as per the screenshot below.  Any reconditioning items you add here will be automatically copied across to the Reconditioning section on the main part of the Appraisal Form.

Within this popup you can also add photos using the image control.
  1. Upload existing photos from your device
  2. Take photos directly via your device
If you take photos via AutoPlayAuto.com once you position your camera on the area of the car you wish to photograph and hit the 'take photo' icon you will be given the opportunity to use your finger on touch screen devices to circle or mark-up the area of the photo you wish to highlight.  Once finished you can tap the green tick button to save your photo and mark-up.  The mark-up will now be attached to the image and will be included on any printed/emailed PDF form.  Any images taken via this method will be automatically added to the normal 'Images' section on the Appraisal Form.

When you are happy with the loading of images and reconditioning items loaded against the splat graph you can hit 'SAVE' and continue tapping of other areas of the vehicle to record damage.
