Modules are predefined functions that can be added to an Email Template. The Modules screen is only accessible by AutoPlay Staff, but once created it is possible for any user with the Email Templates role to add 'Modules' to their template.
To access the 'Modules' screen go to 'Settings>Email Settings>Email Modules'. This screen has a dashboard of all the modules that have previously been created. You can search through these via the keyword search by typing in an ID, Client, Module Type or Module Name. You can download a list of the modules, or create a new module via the grey action menu.
When creating a new 'Module' you need to select a 'Type' from the pre-set list of module types. You also need to give your Module a 'Name'.
You can also enter CSS and HTML styling into the 'Module CSS' and 'Module HTML' to control how your module looks.
If your module requires any images you can ad them via the 'EDIT' button in the 'Images' section, or via the 'Image' icon in the grey action menu.
The Dealer accounts selected in the 'Dealers' section are the accounts that will be able to use the 'Module'. This can be set as All Dealers or specified to be available only for particular accounts. When you have finished working on your module you can click 'SAVE' and your Module will be ready to use.
In order to use modules you first need to add them to an Email Template. To do so find the template you wish to edit in 'Email Templates' and click on the green 'EDIT' button in the Modules section.
This will show a list of all the modules you've added to the email template. You can add a Module to the Template by clicking on the
+ icon circled below.
Adding a Module is as easy as selecting the Module Type from the modules you are able to view, adding a display order and indicating whether completing the Module is Optional or not.
To add the Modules to your Email Template you need to add the '@[EMAIL_TEMPLATE]' field to the body of the email in the 'Main Template' field. This will display the added 'Modules' in the order they are specified in the Modules section.
Each Module has been coded to serve a specific purpose. To find out how to load Modules to your email template click
