How To Manage Default Comments
Default Comments are text comments that can be automatically added to every listing in AutoPlayAuto.com in addition to any comment added to the individual listing. You can added Default Comments in several ways.
1. My Company
Default Comments - Text that is automatically added to every listing in AutoPlay when displayed on a AutoPlay Vehicle Display Page, or exported to a 3rd Party Listing site/your website. Default Comments will not appear on your listing when managing them within AutoPlayAuto.com - but they will be added to all exports.
You can drag the bottom right corner of the 'Default Comments' field to make it larger if required.
2. My Yards
In the My Yards screen there is also a field for 'Default Comment' in the 'Listings' section. Any 'Default Comments' at a Yard level will be added to Default Comments at the Company Level.
3. Exports
You can also add comments at the Export level if required. This allows dealerships to have a unique set of default comments for one export (eg. Trade Me) and another entirely different set of default comments for another export (eg AutoTrader). Default Comments set at the export level will not display on AutoPlay Vehicle Display pages, or added to the Listing API.
If you need Default Comments at the export level only contact AutoPlay via support@autoplay.co.nz. Export level comments are controlled via your export record which is not visible to anyone except AutoPlay employees. We will add the default comment to the export record via the 'Standard Text' field on your behalf.
4. Display Of Comments On Listings
Comments will display in the following order;
- Listing comments
- Yard comments
- Company comments
- Export comments (if any)
