As of 19.4 you now have the ability to send email campaigns or Live Leads eDM's via SMS. An SMS message is sent that contains a url which directs your customers to view the email online. This functions are available to users with the 'SMS Campaign' Role. The SMS Campaigns option displays in the Communications section.
Creation of a campaign is exactly the same as creating a
Standard Email Campaign, however you will note that on previewing of your results the phone number displays instead of the email address. As with sending bulk emails, it is possible to send your SMS to a pre-loaded Contact Group, or build a custom recipient list using the 'BUILD LIST' button.
When previewing your contact list you will also have the option of excluding contacts with missing mobile numbers. Note these contacts are not excluded from the build of the email, this is for review purposes only.
When creating your SMS Campaign there is a new field 'SMS Intro Text' - this text will display in the body of the SMS. You have the option of using Standard Text or manually entering the text.
When your customers receive your message it will state who the message is from, your SMS Intro Text and the url for them to drill through to view the email online.
Live Leads Email Campaigns sent via SMS will still have the Open rate (when the web page is opened) and the Video Views, Opt Outs and Undeliverables tracked in RESULTS.
