Email and Phone Number Validation

Email validation in AutoPlay is completed via a regex to validate email addresses according to RFC 5322 specs.  You can read more about these standards at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Email_address

Mobile validation in AutoPlay is completed via a 3rd party library that parses the entered phone number and validates its structure according to the country that the Contact record is in.  This library is based on the Google Phone numbers library and is kept up to date with any phone number changes around the world.  It can handle numbers that start with +, 00, or just the plain number with no country code. The mobile number will be validated and if it fails, the entry on screen will be highlighted in orange but it won't prevent the record from saving.

If AutoPlay can firmly identify the value is not valid we will highlight with a red outline.  When it appears a phone number or email is invalid we will still allow the record to be saved but the user will see a warning, and the field will be highlighted in orange.
