Default Manual Load Lead Type
Overview
To better support different user roles in AutoPlay, we’ve introduced an option to set a default value for the Lead Type field when creating a new lead. Building on the existing ability to restrict the Lead Source list based on the selected Lead Type, this feature helps ensure users — such as phone teams or showroom sales staff — can quickly work with the most relevant lead types for their role.
Provisioning
The Default Manual Lead Type can be set in two places
User Details
There is now a new drop down selection field within the User Details page under the Account Preferences section. If a user has a value set here, this will be picked up and applied first before the account level setting
Company Level (My Company)
The second setting option is used a default value for the entire account. This will only be applied if the user creating the lead does not have a value set under their own settings. This can be found under the Account Preferences section in My Company. A user will need to have Company Admin access to have visibility of this setting.
