Overview
Building on the existing setup that we have for the AutoPlay SMS Gateway, Eagers Automotive has commissioned for AutoPlay to build out SMS functionality to connect directly to their own custom SMS Service used within their network. The Eagers Automotive Dealership will supply a Dealership GUID for the relevant locations. Multiple GUIDs can be applied to a single account if there is more than one location within a single AP account.
The SMS Functionality will work in the same fashion as the existing AutoPlay Gateway and reply messages will still process back into the originating lead.
The number that the SMS sends from is determined by the GUID that is picked up, this is provisioned to Yard level or if there is no yard available, the users default yard will be used.
The GUIDs are also set up with Codes to detect which department is sending the SMS, this will also have a bearing on which number the message will be sent from. AutoPlay sends all communications that are sent directly to a contact with the same code. The only SMS type of message to be sent with a different code are SMS Campaigns. AutoPlay has no control over the Numbers that are used or any call forwarding services available.
Provisioning
To provision the Eagers Automotive SMS Gateway onto an AutoPlay account you will need the below settings
Role: Send Lead and Appraisal SMS
This Role will apply the standard AutoPlay SMS Gateway features onto an account
SMS Provider: Autogami
Settings > Company Settings > SMS Providers
Provider = Autogami
Active = True
VMS ID = Eagers Automotive supplied GUID
Yards = Yards for individual location
